How Core Construction Specialists handles website enquiries and personal information.
Effective 9 October 20261. Scope and responsibility
This notice relates to Core Construction Specialists (CCS) and the public website at corecs.co.za. It explains how information is used when you browse, contact CCS or permit optional analytics. CCS processes information in the context of South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
2. Information you provide
The enquiry form requests your name, email address, South African mobile number, enquiry type, message and privacy consent. Company or organisation and project/site location are optional. CCS uses this information to understand and respond to your enquiry, communicate about a potential project, or handle a privacy request. Provide only information relevant to the enquiry; do not include identity documents, financial details or confidential third-party information.
You can also contact the named directors directly. Information in a call or email is handled for the purpose of that communication. Submission does not automatically create a construction contract or subscribe you to marketing.
3. Website and technical information
The hosting environment may record request details such as IP address, time, requested path, browser information and error records for availability and security. The form's short-lived anti-abuse records use a keyed digest of the network address, counters and submission status; they do not store the form message or raw IP address. Public website files may be cached on your device for offline browsing. The app does not save or queue contact-form contents in that cache.
4. Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after you allow Analytics. It measures public page views, navigation and call-to-action clicks, section and capability engagement, scroll-depth and active-time milestones, contact-method clicks, non-content form progress and validation states, successful enquiry submissions, company-profile engagement and selected technical events such as PWA installation. CCS does not send the name, phone number, email address, company name, project location, message, password or other form contents to Analytics. Campaign measurement is limited to standard advertising and UTM parameters when present, and referrer URLs are reduced to origin and path. Google may process device, browser, cookie and network information as part of providing Analytics.
You can decline analytics and still use the website and form. Reopen Cookie Preferences in the footer to change your choice. See the Cookie Policy for storage details.
5. Purposes and processing grounds
Information is used to respond to your request, assess construction requirements, arrange further discussions, administer an agreed engagement, protect website operations and meet applicable obligations. Consent is requested for the website form and optional analytics. Processing may also be necessary to take steps you request before an agreement, perform an agreement, comply with law or pursue a lawful legitimate interest, subject to your rights. Analytics consent is separate from enquiry consent.
6. Recipients and service providers
Enquiries are sent to the CCS hello@corecs.co.za mailbox. A receipt is sent to your supplied email address from no-reply@corecs.co.za. Relevant CCS personnel may handle the enquiry. Hosting, email and technical support providers process information needed to operate these services. Google provides Analytics when permitted. CCS may disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect lawful rights. The website does not sell enquiry information or use advertising tracking.
7. Processing outside South Africa
Email, hosting support or Google services may involve processing outside South Africa. Where personal information is transferred, appropriate lawful safeguards under POPIA must apply, such as adequate protection, binding contractual arrangements or another permitted basis. Service-provider locations and arrangements should be considered when information is shared.
8. Retention and security
Enquiries and related correspondence are retained for as long as reasonably required to handle the request, administer a resulting engagement and meet lawful record-keeping needs. Information should be reviewed and removed or de-identified when no longer needed, subject to lawful retention and backup cycles. The website's short-lived security records expire separately from correspondence retained in email systems.
The website uses HTTPS in production, server-side validation, access restrictions, encrypted SMTP transport and controls against automated abuse. Credentials are kept outside the public website. These safeguards reduce risk; no internet or email system can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending sensitive information that is unnecessary for the enquiry.
9. Your rights and requests
Subject to POPIA and applicable exceptions, you may ask whether CCS holds your personal information, request access or correction, ask for deletion where retention is no longer justified, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful and may limit CCS's ability to respond to an enquiry. CCS may need proportionate identity verification before releasing or changing records; do not send identity documents through the initial website form.
Use the Contact form's Privacy / POPIA request option or the contact details below. Describe the request and the information concerned. CCS will consider the request under applicable law.
10. Complaints and changes
You may raise concerns with CCS and may complain to South Africa's Information Regulator. This notice may change as services or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current published version.
